Innoprise Plantations (2)

Reclassification of Sector

Publish date: Wed, 2 Apr 2014, 07:26 PM

Innoprise announced today that effective 7 April 2014, it will be reclassified from Industrial Sector to Plantation Sector.

At first look, it is a non event.  However, after giving some thoughts, the reclassification might have positive effects on share price.

Just imagine on 7 April 2014 morning, millions of people (including some plantation anaysts) flip open The Star Business Section to routinely check on their beloved Plantation stocks.

Suddenly they saw this new stock code called "Innoprise".  They pick up their phone to check with their remisiers. Their resmisiers call back in half an hour's time and said "it has 11,000 ha planted in Sabah, runned by CEO of TSH, looked undervalued"

Like what people say, "the rest is history".

I would like to apologize for writing such a frivolous article.  Life is tough, so please allow me to indulge a bit on my fantasy.

Thank you for bearing with me.

(on a more serious note, once a stock is classified under Plantation sector, it is required to disclose on monthly basis its production figures.  This would add more transparency and allow us to have better understanding of the company)

Have a nice evening
