Publish date: Tue, 11 Nov 2014, 08:56 PM

In Part 1 (30 October 2014), I argued that it is time to take position in Engtex as I believed that Selangor's water restructuring should be near (please refer to link below)

Today, Puncak Niaga announced that it has finally entered into agreement with Kumpulan Darul Ehsan for the disposal of water assets.

Pursuant to consolidation of water assets under one entity, the next step would be for the State Government to kick start pipes replacement programme to reduce non revenue water.

In an interview dated 3 March 2014, Engtex's founder and Group MD, Mr. Ng Hook, mentioned that the total amount to be incurred to replace 44,000 km of old pipes in Selangor could be as much as RM10 billion.

It will be interesting to see whether water related stocks such as Engtex and Jaks Resources will be re-rated to reflect the positive prospects going forward.

Have a nice evening.
