19. SCC Holdings


Overview

SCC Holdings Berhad is principally an investment holding company and its principal subsidiary companies are Anitox (M) Sdn Bhd ("Anitox Malaysia") and SCC Corporation Sdn Bhd ("SCC Corporation").

Anitox Malaysia is principally involved in the following:

• Sales, marketing and distribution of non-antibiotic animal health products from Anitox Corporation.

SCC Corporation is principally involved in the following:

• Sales, marketing and distribution of non-antibiotic animal health products to feed mills and farms; and
• Sales, marketing and distribution of food service equipment, including provision of installation, service and supply of ingredients and specialty products for the F&B industry.

Due to some similarities in the business activities of Anitox Malaysia and SCC Corporation, we have segregated our business into two (2) divisions, namely Animal Health Products Division ("AHPD") and Food Service Equipment Division ("FSED"). AHPD comprises of the activities of Anitox Malaysia and the sales, marketing and distribution of non-antibiotic animal health products by SCC Corporation whilst FSED relates to the sales, marketing and distribution of food service equipment, including provision of installation, service and supply of ingredients and specialty products for the F&B industry by SCC Corporation.

Animal Health Products Division

Antimicrobial Products

Antimicrobial products are normally added into the feed and are used to terminate or inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria or fungi in the feed.

Anti-mould and Antifungal Products

Anti-mould and antifungal products are used by feed millers and farmers to eliminate the existence and growth of fungus and moulds in feeds

Toxin Binder

Toxin binder is a type of binder that is used to bind toxins that exist in feeds. The toxins, known as mycotoxins, are produced by moulds that are found in feedstuff such as corns and peanuts. These moulds can invade the feedstuff during various stages - the growing stages in the fields, during harvesting, during transporting, and even during storage. The existence of mycotoxins result in poor livestock growth; poor feed conversion as well as increased susceptibility to diseases.

Probiotic Products

Probiotic products are products that contain live microorganisms that are believed to be healthy to the host organism, in this case the livestock. Probiotics are often used to inhibit competitive pathogenic bacteria from propagating.

Natural Growth Promoters

Natural growth promoters are feed additives and it can be broken down into various types such as organic acids, probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics, phytobiotics and immune stimulants. Natural growth promoters are preferred over antibiotic growth promoters as it does not bear any risk regarding bacterial resistance or develop unwanted residue in animal products.

Phytobiotic Feed Additive

A type of natural growth promoters, phytobiotics are available in various forms and originated from leaves, roots, tubers or fruits of herbs and spices. It is widely used in feed additives as a result of its antibacterial and antioxidative properties.

20. Solution Engineering

Solution specialises in the design and development of teaching equipment for engineering education (SOLTEQ) such as chemical, mechanical, electrical and control engineering. Our products are utilised in public and private universities, university colleges, polytechnics, skilled training centers, advanced technical institutions and colleges. Solution has pioneered a range of teaching equipment that are not only comparable to established brands in terms of technical capability and quality but also enhanced with computer interface for reliable and accurate experimental results. We are also the exclusive distributor for QVF Engineering, a range of borosilicate glassware pilot plants and components for use in chemical engineering laboratories, R&D and industrial production. For process control automation and data acquisition systems, we are also an OPTO 22 and NEMATRON distributor. The demand for quality education especially in specialised areas of engineering and skills training has created a demand for the latest generation of teaching equipment. Solution is able to provide some of these needs at reasonable cost. After sales service and spare parts are also easily available and affordable. Our future plans include the development of multi-media software to complement teaching equipment which will speed up the student's learning curve.These modules will also be available for use on the INTERNET as part of a distance learning programme.

SOLDAS :: SCADA - Supervisory Control & Data Aquisition ::
	We are developing SOLDAS for each of our engineering equipment. We supply most of our equipment with SOLDAS depend on customer requirement. Most of our customer, order our equipment and request to bundle with DAS (Data Acquisition System). Our equipment DAS involve hardware and software, it consists of I/O hardware, computer workstation, and SOLDAS. SOLDAS is running inside a computer, it communicate with equipment through I/O hardware that installed on the equipment control panel, it provide the following features:
	GUI (Graphical User Interface), equipment will be presented in graphical schematic diagram, the real-time experiments data will be showed next to the measurement instruments Perform data logging, save data in files, the data will be saved in spreadsheet format for analysis Plot experiment data on trend, a few measurements can be put into a same trend to compare the experiment result Supervisory control, i.e. PID,PI Perform arithmetic calculation on experiment data, generate experiment result on real-time data Data and result printing

SOLCAL :: Computer Aided Learning Software ::

Basically it is a teaching manual for SOLTEQ equipment in an electronic format. With this tool lecturers and students can learn about the equipment in an interactive manner, not only on the theory but the user can also see an animated sample experiment process flow, this will facilitating the teaching and shorten the learning curve, and will well prepare the users for practical session.

SYSTECH BHD (Stock Code : 0050) is an investment holding company listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 15 June 2011. Our core subsidiary is Syscatech Sdn Bhd, one of the leading eMRM(Members Relationship Management) solutions provider in the market.

Syscatech Sdn Bhd (591742-T) was incorporated on 6 September 2002 and was awarded its MSC Status on 29 October 2002.

We are principally involved in the design, R&D, customization and implementation of web-based solutions to the members' centric industry such as the Direct Selling Industry, Multi-Level Marketing and Retail Industry where members' relationship management and loyalty program are key elements of the operations.

Our Enterprise Information Builder ("EIB") framework is a project undertaken by us under the MSC initiative to develop a robust and powerful web-based framework. The EIB is a Knowledge Management Enabler which is a flexible, robust and powerful framework serving as a rapid-development platform that allows real enterprise business applications to be developed in an efficient and effective manner. Our EIB was designed and developed using JAVA and XML technologies. In 2003, we successfully commercialised our flagship integrated Enterprise Web-Based Solution ("EWBS") for the members centric industry from our proprietary web-based framework - the EIB and marketed under 1Cliq eMRM.

Products - TC Wipes

	How TC Wipes service work?
	Based on the factors like the number of employees using wiper cloths, your usage of another wiping product or your usage with another service, we estimate your requirements for TC wiper cloths.
	After we have agreed on your expected usage, we determine the number of TC wiper cloths assigned to your account to support that level of usage. The quantity is called your inventory.
	Your inventory should include enough wipes so that you do not run out of stock at any time in between the pick up and delivery cycle.
	Each delivery, we pick up the wipes that you have used, count them in our plant, and have them replaced immediately.
	It is normal that some cloths will be lost in use in your plant. It is very common that 2%-10% of your monthly usage will be lost. These units are usually accidentally thrown in the trash or pilfered. To prevent shortage we provide an automatic replacement programme that replaces lost or pilfered cloths. (Excess losses will be charged)
	We will work with your employee to help control wiper cloth loss by providing training, cloth conservation posters and quarterly usage recaps.
	It is the job of our Service Representative to monitor your weekly usage, inventory and losses so that you always have an adequate supply of clean cloth, at the lowest cost.
